The exhibit, and the VR experiences that inspired it, were part of a research project led by the University of Washington Information School and Museology program. The project aims to create a digital arts education program for kids at the Echo Glen Schooland to establish a model for learning about and creating digital art using VR as an educational tool. Together with other RAs, faculty and teen librarians from the King County Library System, they designed VR experiences and worked with teens at Echo Glen to explore their interest in learning about and creating art for and in VR.

A school in Snoqualmie celebrates 50 years, but it's not just any school. It's the last chance for convicted children to avoid becoming a prison statistic. Former students went back to Echo Glen Children's Center on Wednesday -- to say "thank you" to a place that changed their lives. This is the last stop for many people like Latham before life derails into the prison system.

Reset Password. In addition to education, youth who are assigned to Echo Glen receive a spectrum of services including behavior modification and treatment. With a smaller class size — Mills typically has eleven students per class — students are able to delve into the assignment over at least two days.
One of the teens, a year-old, was serving a sentence for gang-related murder and felony gun possession. The other escapee, a year-old, was serving a sentence for robbery. The teens were reportedly in the juvenile detention facility's gym when they took off running into the nearby forest.
The principal training site is Seattle Children's Hospital. There are several other facilities in the program, including Child Study and Treatment Center, the state's hospital for long-term hospitalization of children and adolescents. It is a private, bed, regional, not-for-profit hospital affiliated with the University of Washington.
Now, a new agreement between the National Park Service and Montgomery County, Maryland, aims to allow the park to flourish as a cultural arts center. Maintenance, management, operation and programming of the park will be exclusively the responsibility of the county under the year agreement signed at the park Friday. One notable change will be the swiftness with which issues are handled since the county will be able to respond more quickly than what is usually allowed through bureaucratic federal processes.
